Lasang river is geographically located at the north – western part of the City of Davao, Region XI, Mindanao, Philippines which lies between 7° 16′ 03″ – North latitude and 125° 39′ 56″ – East longitude. It is one of the important rivers in Davao City which used to be the main water highway of indigenous peoples known as Ata and Manobo Tribes in Paquibato district of Davao City and Talaingod, Davao del Norte.
Its headwaters emanates both from the highlands of Talaingod, Davao del Norte and Paquibato, Davao City and meanders down to Barangay Lasang, Davao City. Lasang rivers serves as the political boundary between the two Cities, Davao and Panabo.
Lasang river has been identified by the National and Local Government as one of the priority watersheds in Region XI, Mindanao, Philippines covering a total area of 43,278 hectares.
